Instructions for submitting inquiries

For inquiries, please drop me an email or use the contact form below to reach out to me. Please include a video recording of your performance/ singing for a quick assessment. 

1. If this is your first exposure, please submit any song of your choice. It could be a bhajan or even a rhyme. 
2. If you have some exposure to carnatic music, please submit the first two saralivarisais in 3 speeds, any song (if you have been taught one), or a Geetham (if you are in the Geetham level), in three speeds. If you do not know the 3rd speeds for any of these, please submit in first and second speed alone. 
3. If you are a varnam level student, please submit the first five saralivarisais in 2nd and 3rd speeds, any triputa talam geetham in 2nd and 3rd speed, and one varnam in slow and fast speeds. If you have not learnt the fast speed, please send the rendition in slow speed alone.

The purpose of the assessment is to understand where the student currently is in their journey, their voice quality, strengths and weaknesses. It will help me figure out the learning plan, if I decide to take in the student. I will reach out to you for further discussions, once the assessment is complete. Some students may be placed under a qualified teaching assistant, depending on their level, if I feel that additional training or mentoring may be needed for a student. This will be decided by me on a case to case basis. A combination of synchronous and asynchronous activities will be incorporated to guide students and bring the best out if them.
